Set to Caleb Delamont's Let Me Know That You Love Me, the video shows clips of House Minority Leader John Boehner and Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele praising Cheney's newfound media visibility, even as officials in the Republican party have sought to spotlight a new generation of leadership.

"The Republican Party [hearts] Dick Cheney," the video declares.

Various Hollywood Homosexuals To Attend Denver Convention

As expected, Democrats are organizing an army of sodomists to perform at the coronation/beatification of St. Barack of Obama:

the Democratic National Convention is fast becoming a ticket as prized as the Oscars, as much a destination as Sundance and as much a media moment for "Entertainment Tonight" and "Access Hollywood" as it is for MSNBC.

Stars like Annette Bening, Susan Sarandon, Spike Lee, Rob Reiner and Ben Affleck are expected. Entertainers as diverse as Kanye West, Melissa Etheridge, the Black Eyed Peas, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow and Rufus Wainwright are being lined up for convention-related events in Denver. And cabler Starz is coordinating a "Green Room," where delegates, celebs and other VIPs can mingle, watch politically themed movies, and listen to panels on entertainment and politics.

The only thing missing are gift suites -- off-limits due to stringent lobbying rules.

Howard Dean To Head South To Gawk At The Poors

Thursday, DNCC Dean will board one of St. Barack's many elitist buses and take a tour of the south, hoping to ramp up voter registration:

Dean said in a telephone interview that he'll focus on winning over people who are struggling economically.

"We think that they have been disillusioned," said Dean, a former Vermont governor and presidential candidate in 2004. "Many of them voted for George Bush. We think they want something new and we're going to provide it for them."

Democrats dominated the South through the first half of the 20th century. But as President Lyndon B. Johnson famously predicted when he signed the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the party gradually lost support in the region. Georgia native Jimmy Carter is the only Democratic presidential candidate to win broad support in the South since then.

"I think the big reason is we haven't tried," Dean said. "If you don't show up, you can't win. And that's not going to happen this time. We are going to show up everywhere."

A new Democracy Corps poll has great news for the Democrats and dismal news for the Republicans. A poll of Republican-held districts indicates that the Democrats are poised for big gains in the fall elections, perhaps as many as 20-25 in the House of Representatives. A win of that sort — a true tidal wave — would give the Democrats a massive majority in the House. Sound fanciful? Yeah, it does — sorta — but consider the Democracy Corps poll before dismissing it entirely.

The poll surveyed 1,600 people in 45 GOP-held districts, from the competitive Tier 1 to tougher-to-win Tier 2 with the named incumbents and their opponents used rather than generic match-ups. The results showed the Democratic candidate winning the Tier 1 races 51%-42%, and the Tier 2 races 48-45 percent.

Word is that Hillary will acknowledge Obama has the delegate lead:

The former first lady will stop short of formally suspending or ending her race in her speech in New York City. Obama is 40 delegates shy of clinching the nomination, but he is widely expected to make up the difference Tuesday with superdelegate support and votes in South Dakota and Montana. Once he reaches the magic number of 2,118, Clinton will acknowledge that he has secured the necessary delegates to be the nominee.

She will pledge to continue to speak out on issues like health care. But for all intents and purposes, the two senior officials said, the campaign is over.

Then comes this:

Clinton aide Howard Wolfson is denying the Associated Press report that she will concede tonight and begin shutting down her campaign.

The key point, my colleague Mike Allen points out, may be in the details here: Clinton said yesterday that Obama would win the delegate majority. But Clinton said she'd won the popular vote, and would campaign on making that case.

...Here's the campaign statement: "The AP story is incorrect. Senator Clinton will not concede the nomination this evening."

Dem RBC Meeting Happening Now

What an awesome Saturday. The Democratic Rules and Bylaws Committee is meeting to decide what to do with their bastard Michigan and Florida babies.

Obama would like to abort both, because he is a godless liberal elitist.

Hillary would like to adopt both into her hardworking non-bitter home.

Either way, this is gonna take a real long time. It's already been an excruciating day of passive-aggressive jokes and stupid stories no one wants to hear. Plus, we haven't even gotten around to cashing in Hillary's frequent flier miles, tin cans, and collection of state quarters.

Anywho, as usual, Ben Smith brings the best moment so far:

Donna Brazile -- the only RBC member who gets an ovation whenever she speaks -- says to Jim Blanchard, "you mentioned your momma." (Blanchard had mentioned it was his mother's birthday.)

“My momma always told me to play by the rules,” she says. And if you try to change the rules in the middle of the game, "it's cheating."

Brazile's nominally uncommitted, but it's pretty clear what her sentiments lie.

"Hillary Clinton played by the rules," responds Blanchard.
