This Is The Guy That Let Us Read Sarah Palin's Email

So this is the kid hacked her account.

A grand jury ended its session this morning without indicting University of Tennessee student David Kernell, who is suspected of hacking Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's private e-mail account, an area newspaper is reporting.

The Chattanooga Free Press doesn't offer a lot of details other than to say that Kernell's three roommates appeared before the grand jury this morning and that the session ended without an indictment. The grand jury will likely meet again to hear more evidence in the investigation.

Kernell, 20, has been meeting with a lawyer in Knoxville, Tennessee. Attorney Wade V. Davies released the following statement to the media on Monday:

"I have been asked by the Kernell family to represent their son, David. This is a difficult time for David and his family. The Kernell family wants to do the right thing, and they want what is best for their son. We are confident that the truth will emerge as we go through the process. David is a decent and intelligent young man, and I look forward to assisting him during this difficult period."

David Kernell and his father, Democratic state representative Mike Kernell, met with Davies for dinner on Friday evening in Knoxville, according to a Memphis blogger and friend of the family named Sharon Cobb. The elder Kernell drove from his home in Memphis to Knoxville that day and has been staying with his son in a hotel since FBI agents visited David Kernell's apartment over the weekend to photograph it.

About that email thing:

Sometime early this morning, between approximately 3:00am - 4:00am, members of an infamous group of hackers broke into Gov. Sarah Palin’s private Yahoo e-mail account. The incriminating discussion threads included screenshots of Palin’s e-mail and private e-mail addresses of her contacts. The threads have since been deleted.

Hacking e-mail is a federal crime. A TV anchor who broke into his colleague’s e-mail account recently pleaded guilty and faces a maximum five years in prison.

The law will catch up to the hackers, but what about the lowlifes who are now gleefully splashing the alleged contents of Palin’s private e-mail account all over the Internet?

The Gawker smear machine — see here for all the background you need — has posted private family photos of Palin’s children that were apparently stolen from the e-mail account.

They have used Bristol Palin’s illegally obtained private cell phone number from her mom’s private account, recorded her voicemail message, and posted it on their website.

They have reprinted her husband Todd’s private e-mail address and son Track’s private e-mail address.

You think this is just a harmless prank? Those of you who have had to deal with break-ins and identity theft know exactly what a burdensome process it is to recover from crimes like this.

Gawker knowingly and deliberately published illegally obtained photos of the Palin children.


Then, Gawker brings up a good point:

Back in 2006 Michelle Malkin posted the phone numbers of some college kids planning to protest Ann Coulter. The kids—who were neither running for office nor inserted at the last minute to the great buffet table of family values on display at the nationally televised Republican National Convention—received death threats! Malkin refused to take those phone numbers down! When they complained, Malkin reposted their numbers!

Emails from that Yahoo account are already being sought in connection with the Troopergate investigation. Now comes word that Anonymous, the fun-loving Internet trouble-makers based loosely around the message board 4Chan, gained access to another Palin email account: gov.palin@yahoo.com. It looks legit! DNC Gets Shitty With Hilltards

There is an organiztion called PUMAPAC, which is a group of racist bitters who want a roll-call vote at the Denver convention so that their cankled overlord can lose yet again.

They've taken a page from the Paultard playbook and spammed the inboxes of the DNC leadership with their demands.

Email From Crazy Racist Aunt Of The Day

If you think this series of tubes is just for helping poor Nigerian bankers unfreeze their money or finding pics of Christopher Atkins' 1982 Playgirl spread, you're dead wrong.

It's also a great tool to spread your own brand of crazy racism and religious demagoguery by simply hitting "Forward to all".

My aunt delivered today, with this delightful rant about brown people stealing scholarships.

This is a subject close to my heart. Do you know that we have adult students at the school where I teach who are not US citizens and who get the PELL grant, which is a federal grant (no pay back required) plus other federal grants to go to school?

One student from the Dominican Republic told me that she didn't want me to find a job for her after she finished my program, because she was getting housing from our housing department and she was getting a PELL grant which paid for her total tuition and books, plus money leftover.

She was looking into WAIT which gives students a CREDIT CARD for gas to come to school, and into CARIBE which is a special program (check it out - I did) for immigrants and it pays for child care and all sorts of needs while they go to school or training. The one student I just mentioned told me she was not going to be a US Citizen because she plans to return to the Dominican Republic someday and that she 'loves HER country.'

I asked her if she felt guilty taking what the US is giving her and then not even bothering to become a citizen and she told me that it doesn't bother her, because that is what the money is there for!

I asked the CARIBE administration about their program and if you ARE a US Citizen, you don't qualify for their program. And all the while, I am working a full day, my son-in-law works more than 60 hours a week, and everyone in my family works and pays for our education.

Something is wrong here. I am sorry but after hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. Nowhere did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. Sorry if this offends anyone but this is MY COUNTRY.

IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP -- please pass this along. I am not against immigration -- just come through like everyone else.
