This isn't the first time Clinton has invoked Bobby Kennedy's assassination as part of an argument about the length of the primary process. On March 6 she told Time :

I think people have short memories. Primary contests used to last a lot longer. We all remember the great tragedy of Bobby Kennedy being assassinated in June in L.A. My husband didn't wrap up the nomination in 1992 until June, also in California. Having a primary contest go through June is nothing particularly unusual. We will see how it unfolds as we go forward over the next three to four months.

Basically we're all screwed and the elderly Juan McCain will be POTUS for about a week. Then it's eight glorious years of President Elder Willard Xenu Romney.

Who Still Uses This Word? Honestly.

Proving that the Republican Party is constituted of elderly white men who have no clue what year we live in, the GOP sent out a memo containing the word "tar baby":

In a 20-page memo on GOP electoral woes, Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.) repeatedly misspells Barack Obama’s name – it’s one R, congressman, not two -- and then manages to use the racially charged term “tar baby” in a paragraph about Obama and immigration.

“Remember,” Davis writes, “Hispanic voters are a swing group in this election and future elections. John McCain, being from a border state, may be out of sync with many Republicans but he has standing among Hispanics. Barrack Obama has not made the sale to Hispanic voters. Thus, this issue is a tar baby for anyone who touches it, with land mines everywhere.”

Oh, so it's all good now?

Two days ago, we reported on Rep. Don Brown's racial sensitivity bill. Now, Grand Wizard Brown wants to throw some chitterlings to the help:

Two days before filing a bill to create a specialty license plate honoring "Confederate Heritage," state Rep. Don Brown introduced another one seeking to name a road after the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Rather than quitting while he was behind, Brown continued:

He did say that he has no intention to advocate for the license plate. That duty falls on the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the group that wants the tag produced, he said.

"Now that we’re in the brier patch, it’s time for them to make their official case," he said.
